Annual
Funday
The church holds a yearly fun day in the
Dobbie
Hall around September. This day usually attracts around 300 children.
It is an attempt
to demonstrate the Church's concern for families by providing a free
event to which parents and children can come and enjoy quality family
time together. Activities including Beat-the-Goalie, Sock-the-rat,
Bouncy Castle, Ball pit and many others are available free for all the
children. Café and crafts stalls are also available. All
proceeds from the fun day are donated to various children’s
charities.
Open Day
Every few years around
May the church holds an Open Day for the public. Inside the church a
cafe, many craft stalls and a short film featuring all the
activities the church undertakes and information leaflets on these
activities are available. A car boot
sale also takes place at the same time in the church car park.
All proceeds from this Open Day are donated to the Katriona M Graham Care Centre in Brazil.
Ceilidh
Every March the Church organizes a
Fundraising Ceilidh for missions, which is supported by several other
churches
and raises around £1000. The money is then split amongst the many missions that the church supports.
Go-Karting
In June of this year the Men's Fellowship enjoyed a Go-Karting competition night at Xtreme Karting in Larbert. Standing on the podium are John Rollo (1st), Stephen Montgomery (2nd) and Jonathan Weir (3rd).
Singathon
Recently the church had a Singathon and
raised over £1400 for
the Anthony Nolan trust.
